Cultivating Courage Oracle · Tiffany Pegoda
Terms of Service
Effective October 10, 2026
These terms explain your use of Cultivating Courage Oracle and its optional reading journal. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
Your journal is saved only locally
When you select Save this reading, the app stores your reading and notes only in this browser on this device. The app does not upload your questions or journal entries to Tiffany Pegoda or a Cultivating Courage server. They are not saved to your account, synced between devices or backed up to the cloud by this app.
1. Saving and returning to your notes
Saving is optional and happens only when you select Save this reading. There is no automatic journal save. A saved reading includes its date, any question you typed, the drawn card numbers and your notes. A question held privately is not recorded as text.
Saved readings use this website’s browser local storage. To return to them, use the same device, browser, browser profile and website address. Signing in to access the hosted site does not back up or restore your journal. A different browser, device or website address will not automatically have your saved readings.
Unsaved questions and notes are held in the current page session and can be lost when you refresh, close the page or begin another reading. Changes to a saved reading’s notes must be saved again.
2. Deletion, copies and storage limits
You can remove a reading using Delete in Saved readings. Clearing this website’s browser data also removes locally stored readings. Private browsing, browser storage cleanup, storage limits, a browser reset or loss of your device can make entries unavailable. If browser storage is blocked or full, saving may fail.
Cultivating Courage cannot recover entries erased from your browser because this app does not keep a server copy. Use Download backup in Saved readings to keep a JSON file of your saved questions, cards and notes. Restore backup adds readings from that file to this browser without replacing readings already saved here. You can also use Copy reading to keep a separate text copy. Copy reading places text on your clipboard; it does not create a cloud backup. Copies and downloaded backups you keep elsewhere are not removed when you delete the app’s local reading. You are responsible for keeping those files private.
3. Local privacy and hosted access
The app does not encrypt or password protect your journal entries. Someone with access to the same browser profile on your device may be able to read them. Consider this when using a shared device.
This local journal notice describes how the oracle app handles your questions and notes. Access to the hosted website may also be subject to the hosting service’s sign-in requirements, terms and privacy practices. Those access requirements do not make the journal an account-based storage service.
4. Reflection and personal responsibility
The cards and their written meanings are intended for personal reflection and learning. They do not establish what another person feels, guarantee outcomes or replace medical, mental health, legal or financial advice. You remain responsible for your decisions and for seeking qualified help when needed.
Use the app lawfully and do not interfere with its operation or other people’s access. Saving or copying a reading does not transfer ownership of the deck’s artwork, written meanings or branding.
5. Availability and updates
The app is provided as available. Features, availability and these terms may change. Updated terms will appear on this page with a revised effective date. Keep a separate copy of any notes you want to retain. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
